YOU ARE WHAT YOU ARE. COME TO ME AS YOU ARE.
I don’t know why, recently I have been thinking about my long-deceased father Hasan Efendi’s words of wisdom that originated from his belief in mystic brand of Muslim Religion known Sufism that besides prayers, there are many other ways to reach, and to feel close to the God.
It is probably due to current unforeseen events and unjustified wars with killing and dismembering hundreds of thousand innocent people, women and children without any concerns about existing laws, humanity, moral, ethical and spiritual principles, except to satisfy their hunger for power, their megalomaniac ego, and to make more money.
Among the words of wisdom, I have heard from my father, I was most impressed by the spiritual leader of Sufi/Mevlevi leader of the time, Mevlana Celalettin Rumi:
“You are what you are. Come to me as you are. We shall meet in a place where there is no right and wrong, and respect and discuss our different opinions until we reach the helm and understanding of almighty God.”
